Bar launch a success for friends
TWO friends hosted a busy launch party at their new bar venture after teaming up with a town centre cafe owner.
Jordan Wilson and Kevin Broome, both 21 from Bollington, launched their bar Wilson and Broome’s at Amuse Cafe on Chestergate. They teamed up with cafe owner, Julia Marshall, after Jordan got chatting to her while working his other job at Cinemac.
The pair welcomed around 120 people to their first night, selling more than 100 of their speciality cocktails.
Jordan said: “We were so pleased with the turnout. The music act we were meant to have cancelled on the morning of our launch but the owners of the now closed Cabin 5150 stepped in and found us Sophie Stock who was fantastic. We want to thank everyone who came, we had a great time.”
Jordan has another year left on a business management degree and Kevin has just graduated. Julia has given them tips on how to run a small business.
The bar uses an app which allows guests to create an online playlist.
Jordan said: “Kevin and I wanted to try something a bit different in Macclesfield and Julia’s given us this exciting opportunity.”
Wilson & Broome’s is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6.30pm.
