Fallibroome alumni to tour new £4.3m block
FORMER students of Fallibroome Academy are being invited to a event to mark the opening of its new £4.3m block.
The block features a sixth form centre, 450 seat refectory and administration offices.
The event, the first organised by the Fallibroome Alumni Association, will include guided tours of the new and old buildings.
There will also be a presentation of long service awards to 35 current and former staff and governors who have worked at the school for 20 years or longer, and a buffet.
It is taking place on Saturday, November 8, from 12pm to 3pm.
Members of the alumni association can apply for two free tickets by emailing alumni@ fallibroome.co.uk giving their name and the name of their guest.
Past students who are not members can join by filling in the form at fallibroome.org.uk/ alumni and, once signed up, apply for tickets.
Bernard Hurst, alumni officer and former assistant principal, said: “Come and re-live the happiest days of your life.”
The Fallibroome Alumni Association started a year ago and now has 700 members.
Three reunions have taken place so far for the 1979, 1980 and 1994 intakes.
As well as reunions the association invites former students to give current students motivational talks and work placements.
