●● A FOR­MER Mac­cles­field Town player is run­ning a goal keep­ing academy.

Steven Hodg­son had a suc­cess­ful ca­reer mak­ing 400 ap­pear­ance in net for Manch­ester City, Mac­cles­field Town and Ch­ester City, among oth­ers. As a school­boy he played Eng­land u16s and u18s teams.

More re­cently he has been Mans­field Town head goal keep­ing coach and Stoke City FCc academy goal keep­ing coach. Steve’s goal keep­ing academy will be run at King’s School ev­ery Mon­day at 5.306.30pm from Novem­ber 3. Steve said: “The goal keep­ing cen­tre is some­thing aimed at any­one in­ter­ested in goal keep­ing for fun or de­vel­op­ment from age six up­wards.”
