Macclesfield Express - - MOTORS -

THIS is the second meeting of the season for Macc and Wrexham, as the sides played out a 2-2 draw in August.

WREXHAM come into Friday’s cup-tie on the back of four league games without a win.

THEY were denied a win by a late Lincoln leveller on Saturday and that run has seen them slip from third place to 10th.

THE previous game saw Macc rescue a point with Paul Turnbull’s header, after Waide Fairhurst had given Macc the lead.

ALTHOUGH leading scorer Louis Moult is suspended the Dragons still have Andy Bishop and Connor Jennings to call on up front.

JENNINGS (right) was prolific in the first half of last season for Macc while on loan from Scunthorpe and has since scored twice against the Silkmen.

ONE came while on loan at Grimsby, the other in August’s clash at the Racecourse Ground.

KEVIN Wilkin’s men will be without winger Theo Bailey-Jones, who’s broken a metatarsal, and Austria U21 goalkeeper Dan Bachmann, a Stoke loanee, with a torn knee ligament.

FORWARD Dan Holman’s month-long has ended, He’s gone back to Colchester United.

WREXHAM’S last win at the Moss Rose came back in 2002.
