Nobody expected the Spanish expedition
MIDFIELDER Arthur Gnahoua has left Macclesfield Town in the hope of securing a contract in Spain.
The 22-year-old’s 21 outings this season make it his busiest since he first came to the Moss Rose from Stalybridge Celtic in 2012.
This term he also found the net twice, with clinical strikes against Halifax and Gateshead in the autumn but after two-and-a-half-years as a Silkman he sees his future away from East Cheshire.
“Arthur rang me to say he was going to have a trial in Spain,” said Macc boss John Askey. “There’s nothing I can do to stand in his way, even though I’d prefer not to lose anybody.
“Arthur’s always done his best for us, he’s had good and not-so-good games, like anybody. He’s always been totally honest and given us everything so we wish him well.”
