Bake Off star launches cook book
THE Great British Bake Off finalist from Poynton is hoping to ‘demystify’ baking with his book Bake It Great.
His recipes wowed Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry and now Luis Troyano is set to reveal his secrets in a new cookbook.
Bake It Great will be the first book from Luis, who was a finalist in last year’s Great British Bake Off.
The 43-year-old graphic designer from Poynton, says his book will ‘demystify’ the art of baking and will be suitable for bakers of all abilities.
Luis, who runs advertising agency Forever Creative in Cheadle Hulme, said: “The key aim is to demystify baking.
“You don’t have to be an amazing baker to make something look fantastic and taste great.
“If you are a novice this book will hold your hand through a range of recipes or inspire people who are bakers to try something they have never done before.”
The book has 100 recipes, including family favourites inspired by Luis’ Spanish upbringing. He added: “I have loads of notebooks that I have scribbled in over the years.
“They are all completely new recipes and things that I liked to bake at home.”
Luis added that his life has completely changed since he was named as runner-up in the final of the BBC One programme watched by 12.3m viewers last October.
He said: “It has opened up so many avenues for me.”
Bake It Great will be out in September.
