Liam’s steeling himself for Sheffield fight night
LIAM Hanrahan is hoping to add to his growing army when he gets back in the ring next month.
Hanrahan will be fighting on David Coldwell’s Blaze of Glory card at Sheffield Arena on February 27 and his noisy following, which is garnering a reputation as one of the most feverish around, will be making themselves heard.
“I’m branching out for this fight,” said Hanrahan, who suffered his first professional defeat at the hands of Krzysztof Rogowski at Manchester Arena in September.
“I’m looking to see how I go when I’m out on the road, I’m hoping the army will be in full voice. There are a few names lined up for my opponent but nothing’s confirmed yet – they should be a pretty tasty fighter, whoever they are though.”
TIckets are available and coach travel is being arranged. Call 07535 64512 for details.
Liam is a former Macclesfield Boys’ Boxing Club member and MBBC stages its annual showcase on February 6 at Wilmslow Leisure Centre.
Tickets for a busy night of amateur boxing are priced at £10, which works out at less than a pound per fight.
They are now on sale at the Rectory Fields venue or by calling 07984 387419.
