Des­per­ate ap­peal to find miss­ing Archie

A FAM­ILY have launched a des­per­ate bid to trace their miss­ing dog.

There have been sev­eral sight­ings of Archie in the Prest­bury and Mot­tram ar­eas, as well as West Park and on Abbey Road head­ing to­wards Bollin Val­ley.

He went miss­ing from Wards Lane, Moss­ley in Con­gle­ton on Oc­to­ber 22.

The two-year-old black and white springer spaniel was stay­ing in the area while his fam­ily, who come from Wi­gan, were on hol­i­day.

Archie has a half- docked tail and three black spots above his right paw.

The fam­ily’s Face­book group Please Help Us Find Archie has thou­sands of mem­bers.

A so­cial me­dia cam­paign #find­archie was backed by mu­sic mogul Si­mon Cow­ell.

Sup­porter Karen Bown said: “The fam­ily have two lit­tle girls who are miss­ing their pet dog dread­fully. This fam­ily re­ally needs your help.”
