●● UNITED Util­i­ties are car­ry­ing out a se­ries of road­works in Poyn­ton in Jan­uary, in­clud­ing on Wood­ford Road at its junc­tion with Lower Park Cres­cent be­tween Fri­day Jan­uary 23 and Tues­day Jan­uary 27. There will be two way sig­nals. ●● BUILD­ING work on the new en­trance and re­cep­tion to the Civic Hall and li­brary as well as other work on both build­ings has now be­gun. Com­ple­tion is sched­uled for late May. Vis­i­tors to both build­ings are asked to take ex­tra care dur­ing the con­struc­tion work. ●● A CON­CERT to support the Mayor’s cho­sen char­ity, the Na­tional Eczema So­ci­ety, will take place at St George’s Church on Fri­day, March 13 from 8pm.

It will fea­ture two of Poyn­ton’s mu­si­cians, An­drew Lid­die with Lizzie Ball and Just Mid­night’ an award-win­ning group of singers who sing in un­ac­com­pa­nied har­mony.

Tick­ets cost £8.50 and can be bought from the Civic Hall by cash or cheque. Cheques should be payable to Poyn­ton Town Coun­cil.
