Staff flying high after bake comp
STAFF in Adlington raised cash to fight cancer with a baking competition.
Senior Aerospace BWT hosted the challenge which saw an array of cakes and sweets produced by staff including Darren Butterworth, Sally Kennedy, Dave Dollan and Tracey Bateman.
After all 460 staff at the company, which designs and manufacture lightweight low pressure air distribution ducting systems, were then encouraged to judge the baked goods. The winner was announced as Tracey Bateman. Money from selling the cakes went to The Christie Charity, which raises money for The Christie NHS Foundation Trust
Dale Ballinger, chief executive, said: “We had lots of fantastic creations from our workforce that were just as tasty that even Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood would be impressed by. All 460 employees enjoyed sam- pling the delights of our baking creations and helped to raise money in aid of The Christie Hospital.”Senior Aerospace BWT is based at Adlington Industrial estate. The company is part of Senior PLC, which has 7,000 employees and in 14 countries.
