Staff fly­ing high after bake comp

STAFF in Adling­ton raised cash to fight can­cer with a bak­ing com­pe­ti­tion.

Se­nior Aero­space BWT hosted the chal­lenge which saw an ar­ray of cakes and sweets pro­duced by staff in­clud­ing Dar­ren But­ter­worth, Sally Kennedy, Dave Dol­lan and Tracey Bate­man.

After all 460 staff at the company, which de­signs and man­u­fac­ture light­weight low pres­sure air dis­tri­bu­tion duct­ing sys­tems, were then en­cour­aged to judge the baked goods. The win­ner was an­nounced as Tracey Bate­man. Money from sell­ing the cakes went to The Christie Char­ity, which raises money for The Christie NHS Foun­da­tion Trust

Dale Ballinger, chief ex­ec­u­tive, said: “We had lots of fan­tas­tic cre­ations from our work­force that were just as tasty that even Mary Berry and Paul Hol­ly­wood would be im­pressed by. All 460 em­ploy­ees en­joyed sam- pling the de­lights of our bak­ing cre­ations and helped to raise money in aid of The Christie Hos­pi­tal.”Se­nior Aero­space BWT is based at Adling­ton In­dus­trial es­tate. The company is part of Se­nior PLC, which has 7,000 em­ploy­ees and in 14 coun­tries.
