CELEBRATORY event is set to take place to launch facilities at Jasmine Park.

Two all-weather football pitches and the Broken Cross Pavilion at the park, near Whirley, have been closed off to the public for almost 18 months.

But facilities are set to be officially opened at the pavilion this Friday, January 30, from 4pm. Food and drink will be served, provided by Jasmine Park’s developers Taylor Wimpey.

The Broken Cross Sports and Community Group, involving residents and a Cheshire East Council member, will voluntarily run the facilities, with the council retaining ownership.
