Celebrated photographer to speak at club meeting
MACCLESFIELD Camera Club is continuing its year of events with a spectacular visit from one of the world’s greatest nature photographers.
Ben Hall is one of Britain’s foremost wildlife photographers, specialising in bird and mammal photography.
He has won numerous international awards including wins in the British Wildlife Photography Awards and the Windland Smith Rice International Awards. In 2009 he was also named ‘Geographical’ Photographer of the Year.
Stephen Coyne, the club’s vice president, said: “Programme secretary Kevin Blake has landed a major coup by persuading wildlife photographer Ben Hall to come and speak. He is a regular contributor to BBC Wildlife, PhotoPlus magazine, Digital SLR User, Photography Monthly and many more.
“He has also appeared on numerous radio and television programmes including BBC’s Walk on The Wild Side and is a member of the 2020VISION photo team.”
The Camera Club meets at 8pm on Mondays at Macclesfield Library. Ben’s talk, ‘Moments in Nature’, is this Monday (February 16) and anyone can attend by paying a fee but are advised to contact the club in advance via its website, where the 2014/5 programme is also listed, at www. macclesfieldcameraclub. org.uk.
