BUSINESSES, clubs and organisations are being urged to take part in Macclesfield’s annual pancake charity challenge.

The event, on Shrove Tuesday, February 17, will see racers sprinting up and down Mill Street while tossing pancakes, all hoping to batter the competition.

Registration is just £10 per team – minimum two people – and the charity asks that team members then raise a total of £100 in sponsorship for Macclesfield Hospital’s charity ECHO. Fancy dress is actively encouraged.

Fiona Doorey, ECHO fundraising manager, said: “Last year ’s pancake race proved to be a fantastic success. This year, we’re hoping to build on that.”

Registration takes place outside the town hall at 10.30am. To register or for more information, contact Laura or Miranda via 01625 661988 or email ECHOhospitalcharity @nhs.net
