Lunchtime drink driver was five times over legal limit
A DRINK driver involved in a mid-morning crash was found to be more than FIVE times the legal limit.
Police and ambulance services were called reports of a road traffic collision involving a Peugeot 206 on Princes Way, Macclesfield, on January 28.
But when officers arrived at 11.45am they found Isobel Geraldine Victoria Riesen being treated by paramedics.
Suspecting she had been drinking the 30-year-old was breathalysed and found to have 184 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than five times the legal limit of 35mg.
She was arrested and remanded in custody until January 30 when she appeared before magistrates.
Riesen, of Keele Crescent, Macclesfield, admitted drink driving at South and East Cheshire Magistrates Court. She was given an 18 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and ordered to carry out 200 hours unpaid work. Riesen, who was not injured in the crash, was banned from driving for three years.
