Super slimmer shares her dieting secrets
A SLIMMER is hoping to share the secrets of her weight loss success with residents in Poynton.
Jo Sebouai, 46, is launching a slimming class to help other people improve their health and restore their confidence.
She lost more than two and a half stone in just five months.
Now she wants to share the secret.
Jo said her story starts in October last year when she was feeling demoralised with her weight.
She said: “I had always been into fitness but after breaking my ankle in 2012 I lost her routine and piled on the pounds. I was at rock bottom and hid myself behind dark clothing and my big grey Parker jacket.
“Even after my ankle healed, I was embarrassed to return to Zumba classes because I felt I wasn’t the person I used to be, it was like a vicious circle.”
A colleague at work gave Jo the inspiration to find her way to her local Slimming World group when she saw him eating lots of normal food and losing weight.
Jo was nervous walking through the door on the first night but was relieved when she was greeted with a warm welcome.
She said: “I was full of butterflies but was reassured straight away. I even made friends on the first night. This gave me confi- dence that I had come to the right place.
“I couldn’t believe I could eat such tasty food and lose weight, I lost three pounds in my first week while still enjoying a vodka and tonic and chocolate.
“There were weeks that I found difficult and could have thrown in the towel but at group I received lots of support and motivation from other members and my consultant. The tips, knowledge, laughter and ideas got me through my challenging weeks and motivated me to carry on losing weight.
“I’m loving wearing new fitted clothes in bold colours, I’m no longer hiding away. It’s time for a new direction and I can’t wait to get going”
Jo’s new Slimming World group is at the Willow Suite, off Park Lane, every Monday from 7.30pm.
