MANY readers took to our facebook page to show their support for Macclesfield Hospital following last week’s story in which they had been told to improve. Arthur Wilson: Important to point out the majority of issues here are due to chronic staff shortages. From what I know the staff who are there do a phenomenal job with what resources and time they have. Barbara Allen: There is NOTHING wrong with MACC. DIST. HOSPITAL. They have a fantastic staff, who do a fantastic job, without the C.Q.C.putting more spokes in their working life. If you need them in an emergency anytime day or night, you can expect the best of treatment. There is always something that they try to bring down a great hospital, because they dont like to give them A plus. Andy Stott: Credit where it is due....I am having after care for an injury at the moment and the staff are fantastic..!! Richard Harrison: Just want to say mid wife staff awesome. Looked after my sick wife and little girl after an emergency c section. Literally the Angels on our shoulders Carole Poyser: There is a lot wrong with this hospital, but is certainly not the nurses or most of the staff. Many followers shared their thoughts on plans for a new Lidl at Lyme Green. Fiona Safc Smart: There is already an Aldi which is pretty much the same as Lidl, there should be more clothes shops. Bill Belfield: Why Lidl, why not Waitrose or John Lewis Kerry Robinson: Love Lidl, hope this happens Nikki Knight-barnett: Do we really need another food store? FIr a small town we already had Sainsburys, 3tesco, morrisons, iceland, alid, loads of co-ops. It’s not going to attract people to the town we need some clothes shops for kids as well as adults. LAST week a property tycoon swooped in and bought Ian Curtis’ former home on Barton Street, announcing it could become a shrine to the New Order singer. Martin Orme: Not sure that this is what Ian Curtis would want. His music is his legacy. Sharon Pollard: Not a chance Trisha Ashton: Oh great!!! Not. WE published some dramatic pictures of a car wreck on Bonis Hall Lane. Chris Stairmand: Only dangerous if you drive faster than the 40mph limit. That particular corner can get very slippery though, especially when wet. Si Lock: I saw a Porsche up a tree on that road once! Paul Dunlevy: Only dangerous if you drive too fast for the conditions. National was better than 40 . 40 is too fast for some parts. Matt Wendy Bracegirdle: Needs to be made 30 bad road! Sian Hussey: That road is so dangerous and the speeds some people do on it is just mad. She is lucky that it wasn’t more serious not just for herself but for others on the road and residents/ businesses.
