SIT­U­ATED in a prime Dids­bury Vil­lage lo­ca­tion, in­de­pen­dent agent Tiger Prop­erty Part­ners is closing in on its first year of sales – and busi­ness is boom­ing.

Es­tab­lished in 2005 as a let­tings agent, Tiger finds it­self in a unique po­si­tion – it doesn’t con­form to the reg­u­la­tions of an es­tate agency chain and is able to of­fer a be­spoke ser­vice tai­lor-made to match the spe­cific re­quire­ments of in­di­vid­ual clients. Sales manager Ryan Bar­ber has headed up the team at Tiger since its in­cep­tion.

He has also lived in Dids­bury for the past 10 years and has an in-depth un­der­stand­ing of the mar­ket there.

He is con­vinced Tiger’s unique ap­proach is the rea­son for the agent’s im­pres­sive track record and abun­dance of glow­ing rec­om­men­da­tions.

He said: “With a cur­rent data­base of over 800 re­turn­ing ten­ants, we have es­tab­lished an ex­cel­lent rep­u­ta­tion in the M20 area. Through pro­fes­sion­al­ism and ex­per­tise we have formed key re­la­tion­ships with all our clients, so much so that when our ten­ants take that first step into own­ing their own homes, they are look­ing to Tiger for ad­vice.

“Over the past year the trend to­wards those look­ing to buy has in­creased sig­nif­i­cantly, and with our ten­ants look­ing di­rectly to us for help in this process, the sales side of the busi­ness was an in­evitable step for­ward.”

As Tiger reaches its first year sales an­niver­sary, Ryan has al­ready no­ticed sig­nif­i­cant changes in an al­ready bustling mar­ket.

He said: “With the con­ver­sion of ten­ant to owner, we have been on the front line for 12 months now and this has af­forded us an in­ter­est­ing in­sight into the first-time buy­ers’ mar­ket from the buy­ers’ point of view.

“As de­mand out­strips sup­ply, many po­ten­tial new home­own­ers are find­ing them­selves in­creas­ingly priced out of the Dids­bury mar­ket.

“In turn this has meant an in­crease in first-time buy­ers broad­en­ing their search to sur­round­ing sub­urbs such as Northen­den, the Heatons, Withing­ton, Chorl­ton and Chea­dle – all of which have a huge amount to of­fer, keenly priced prop­er­ties and ex­cep­tional ed­u­ca­tion fa­cil­i­ties and ameni­ties.

“At Tiger we are prac­ti­cal and re­source­ful, we search high and low for the right price and the right prop­erty, which means th­ese ar­eas are now ben­e­fit­ing from the in­creased at­ten­tion from the ad­just­ment within the first-time buy­ers’ mar­ket.

“As far as sell­ers are con­cerned, I spend a lot of time and ef­fort en­sur­ing I give all my ven­dors the time and ef­fort they de­serve to make sure their prop­erty is mar­keted in the best way pos­si­ble.’’
