Great year of sales
SITUATED in a prime Didsbury Village location, independent agent Tiger Property Partners is closing in on its first year of sales – and business is booming.
Established in 2005 as a lettings agent, Tiger finds itself in a unique position – it doesn’t conform to the regulations of an estate agency chain and is able to offer a bespoke service tailor-made to match the specific requirements of individual clients. Sales manager Ryan Barber has headed up the team at Tiger since its inception.
He has also lived in Didsbury for the past 10 years and has an in-depth understanding of the market there.
He is convinced Tiger’s unique approach is the reason for the agent’s impressive track record and abundance of glowing recommendations.
He said: “With a current database of over 800 returning tenants, we have established an excellent reputation in the M20 area. Through professionalism and expertise we have formed key relationships with all our clients, so much so that when our tenants take that first step into owning their own homes, they are looking to Tiger for advice.
“Over the past year the trend towards those looking to buy has increased significantly, and with our tenants looking directly to us for help in this process, the sales side of the business was an inevitable step forward.”
As Tiger reaches its first year sales anniversary, Ryan has already noticed significant changes in an already bustling market.
He said: “With the conversion of tenant to owner, we have been on the front line for 12 months now and this has afforded us an interesting insight into the first-time buyers’ market from the buyers’ point of view.
“As demand outstrips supply, many potential new homeowners are finding themselves increasingly priced out of the Didsbury market.
“In turn this has meant an increase in first-time buyers broadening their search to surrounding suburbs such as Northenden, the Heatons, Withington, Chorlton and Cheadle – all of which have a huge amount to offer, keenly priced properties and exceptional education facilities and amenities.
“At Tiger we are practical and resourceful, we search high and low for the right price and the right property, which means these areas are now benefiting from the increased attention from the adjustment within the first-time buyers’ market.
“As far as sellers are concerned, I spend a lot of time and effort ensuring I give all my vendors the time and effort they deserve to make sure their property is marketed in the best way possible.’’
