Name: Nick Challinor. What team are you in­volved with? Poyn­ton Foot­ball Club. Po­si­tion: At­tack­ing mid­fielder. How long have you been play­ing for? Since I was seven-year­sold, so 24 years to date... What do you en­joy most about it? I love ev­ery­thing about it, but prob­a­bly the most en­joy­able thing for me is win­ning and be­ing part of a team. How of­ten do you train? Once a week. Where do you train? Poyn­ton Sports Club.

What do you en­joy the most about your sport? I en­joy be­ing able to ex­press my­self on the pitch and in turn help­ing my team mates as we strive to achieve our main goal in win­ning foot­ball matches. Where and when do you meet? On both train­ing and match days we meet at the club un­less we are play­ing away from home then we will usu­ally meet at the op­po­si­tion’s ground. What is the best thing about Macclesfield? I vis­ited the Silk Mu­seum re­cently and was re­ally im­pressed with the his­tory of Macclesfield’s silk in­dus­try. Very im­pres­sive. What is the worst thing about Macclesfield? That it has more Manch­ester City fans than Manch­ester United. What is the most mem­o­rable sport­sre­lated thing to have hap­pened to you? Play­ing in the FA Cup 3rd Pre­lim­i­nary Round, scor­ing two goals and be­ing in­ter­viewed by ITV af­ter the match. What has been your great­est sport­ing achieve­ment? Win­ning var­i­ous tro­phies through dif­fer­ent stages of my foot­ball ca­reer. Do you play any other sports? I’m a keen golfer when I’m not play­ing foot­ball.
