●● A PUB is cel­e­brat­ing the an­niver­sary of D-Day with a night of mu­sic.

The Brew­ers Arms on Bridge Street will host the north­ern soul and mo­town event which will be led by Canal­side’s The Thread pre­sen­ter and DJ Mark Ee­les.

The fun kicks off on Satur­day June 6 from 8.30pm. ●● CINEMAC con­tin­ued its Royal Opera Live se­ries with a show­ing of La Bo­heme.

The pro­duc­tion will be shown live on the big screen at the Her­itage Cen­tre on Wed­nes­day, June 10 at 7.15pm. ●● THERE will be a carer’s cof­fee af­ter­noon at Shop­mo­bil­ity, Churchill Way on Thurs­day June 11.

The event which runs from 12-2pm will see cake, re­fresh­ments and goodie bags. It is tied in with Car­ers Week and the new Care Act Helpline 01260 288 353. ●● FOOT­BALL and in­dus­try come to­gether as part of a new ex­hi­bi­tion at the Silk Mu­seum.

The free event ex­plores the re­la­tion­ship be­tween lo­cal in­dus­try and foot­ball teams, look­ing at the Macclesfield Town ‘Silk­men’, Stoke City’s ‘The Pot­ters’ and Sh­effield United ‘The Blades’. It runs at the Park Lane venue from June 19 to Septem­ber 4 from
