●● A PUB is celebrating the anniversary of D-Day with a night of music.
The Brewers Arms on Bridge Street will host the northern soul and motown event which will be led by Canalside’s The Thread presenter and DJ Mark Eeles.
The fun kicks off on Saturday June 6 from 8.30pm. ●● CINEMAC continued its Royal Opera Live series with a showing of La Boheme.
The production will be shown live on the big screen at the Heritage Centre on Wednesday, June 10 at 7.15pm. ●● THERE will be a carer’s coffee afternoon at Shopmobility, Churchill Way on Thursday June 11.
The event which runs from 12-2pm will see cake, refreshments and goodie bags. It is tied in with Carers Week and the new Care Act Helpline 01260 288 353. ●● FOOTBALL and industry come together as part of a new exhibition at the Silk Museum.
The free event explores the relationship between local industry and football teams, looking at the Macclesfield Town ‘Silkmen’, Stoke City’s ‘The Potters’ and Sheffield United ‘The Blades’. It runs at the Park Lane venue from June 19 to September 4 from
