Channel 4’s Comedy Gala 2015 Channel 4, 9pm
In 1852, the Hospital for Sick Children was founded. It had just 10 beds, but it quickly grew and soon Great Ormond Street Hospital, as it is now known, became a worldrenowned centre for the treatment of sick children. Charles Dickens was one of its first fundraisers, a role many famous personalities have adopted over the decades. The latest batch includes Jack Dee, Jason Byrne, Jon Richardson, Trevor Noah, Rich Hall and Warwick Davis, who are among those giving up their time to help raise cash via this annual concert.
