MACCLESFIELD Town Ladies Under 12s had a fantastic season, landing second place in the Cheshire FA Wheelock league, just three points behind Chester and District Girls FC.

This enabled them to qualify for Cheshire FA Champions League.

The girls had to compete in the European League due to the squad size and were leading until the final against the eventual winners, Lymm under 12 Hawks, by just one point difference.

After taking over the team at under 10s level last season, manager Charlotte Rawcliffe used her talent and expertise coaching the players to achieve this remarkable feat. The MTLFC players have also represented their primary schools in the recent Reliance 7 Tournament and filled both first and runner up positions.

Macclesfield Town Ladies FC train every Wednesday 6-7 at Macclesfield Academy, so if you are an aspiring young female player between the ages of 8-18 years go along and join the squad in their well run and organised training sessions.
