Askey a big draw for new sign­ing

THEO Bai­ley-Jones, who en­joyed a suc­cess­ful loan spell at Macclesfield last sea­son, has joined the club on a per­ma­nent deal.

Bai­ley-Jones im­pressed in his first five games and boss John Askey was quick to ex­tend his loan stay un­til the end of the sea­son.

Now he is look­ing for­ward to con­tin­u­ing where he left off for the Silk­men.

“I’m re­ally look­ing for­ward to get­ting back and hope­fully hav­ing a good

‘I like the style of play and the way the gaffer trains so I couldn’t wait to come back’

sea­son,” he said.

“Hope­fully we will make the play-offs or get pro­moted au­to­mat­i­cally.

“We can learn from the dis­ap­point­ing end to last sea­son and build on it.”

Bai­ley-Jones is an ad­mirer of Askey’s style of play and said the manager was a ma­jor in­flu­ence in his de­ci­sion to sign.

“I like the style of play and the way the gaffer trains, so I couldn’t wait to come back and sign again,” he said.

“I’m one of those play­ers that needs a manager to be­lieve in him.”
