Crowning day nears for rose fete royalty
CHILDREN in Bosley are preparing for their roles in this year’s Rose Queen Fete.
Francesca Bettany and Sam Brunt will be crowned as queen and king, and there will be parts to play for all children in the parade such as crown bearers, trumpeters, sword bearers, drummers and flower girls. The event takes place on Saturday, June 20 at 2pm.
Once again the fell race will set off just after the opening ceremony, while visitors can enjoy the fun of the fete, which features a rodeo bull, country dancing, a bouncy castle and Shetland ponies.
The race will start and finish at Bosley St Mary’s Primary School and begins at 3.15pm. There is a junior race of 3km for ages 10 to 15 which begins at 3.05pm. Go to bosleyvillage.org.uk.
