Archers’ Lilian shares stories for cause
AN actress from The Archers radio show will be sharing ‘behind the scenes’ stories at a charity event.
Sunny Ormonde has played the outrageous and raunchy Lilian Bellamy in BBC Radio 4’s The Archers for the past 12 years.
She is heading to Macclesfield for a special fundraiser in aid of the Macclesfield and District Live at Home Scheme (MHA). The charity provides care, accommodation and support services for older people.
Sunny, who is providing her time free of charge, will be telling funny stories from her time on the world’s longest running soap opera, as well as funny anecdotes from her career, at the United Reform Church in Macclesfield on Sunday, June 28.
The evening will also include a question and answer session with a signed script for the person who comes up with the most interesting question.
The event takes place on Sunday, June 28, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
Tickets cost £12 from 01625 61240.
