A THEATRE group is plotting its next show after a successful production.

The performers from Purvies Productions enjoyed a rapturous final curtain call at their murder mystery play Take Away the Lady.

Former Sutton vicar Taffy Davies, who founded the group in 2002 with Ruth Purcell, returned to see the play.

Nana Whitlock, from the group, said: “The play went down really well. You could hear the audience murmuring their suspicions about who the murderer was.

“Taffy came to watch the play on the last night and was pleased the group is thriving and that his and Ruth’s legacy lives on in the village.

“We are tentatively starting to think about our next production, watch this space.”

Money from the show has been donated to the Sutton Scout and Guide group and there was money for East Cheshire Hospice from a raffle.
