●● AN AF­TER­NOON tea will be held at a pri­vate gar­den in Rainow.

Jenny and Tim Ken­dal are host­ing the af­ter­noon tea in the gar­den at Spu­ley Cot­tage, Spu­ley Lane, Rainow on Satur­day, July 4, from 2pm to 4pm.

En­trance costs £3.50 in­clud­ing re­fresh­ments.

All pro­ceeds will go to the Chil­dren’s So­ci­ety char­ity. ●● A CAFE bar and Malaysian res­tau­rant are team­ing up again to run kitchen takeover events.

Claire Kerkham from Inca Cafe Bar in Mac­cles­field is plan­ning the pop-up evenings at Cafe Water­side, Clarence Mill in Bolling­ton, with Malaysian chef Jim Khor, who runs Nasi Le­mak Malay Street Food.

Each event will fea­ture eight dishes served over four cour­ses.

The Kitchen Takeover will take place on Tues­day, July 7, and Thurs­day, July 9 at 7pm.

It fea­tures Maple­wood Band and a li­censed bar with ales from Bolling­ton.

Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
