Macclesfield Express - - MACCLESFIELD PEOPLE -

OUR studios are going to be full over the next five weeks as we welcome children from local high schools who are undertaking their work experience programmes with us.

Over 40 students will be shown everything they need to know to enable them to develop skills in both radio and media.

They will be shown how to produce and edit articles for broadcasting, edit material for going on to our playlists and finally research, produce and broadcast their own shows.

Make sure you tune in to 102.8fm to hear them. Many of them, after completing their work experience, will stay with us and be given the opportunity to broadcast their own shows on our youth internet station, Canalside’s Phase One radio, and also on 102.8fm.

You never know, in a few years you may hear some of them on commercial radio.

Our outside events team of Nick Wright, Mark Blackman, Mark Eeles and Rob Bashforth also have a busy few weeks ahead of them providing the PA system at many events held locally that raise vital funds for schools, clubs and other community organisations.

Look out for our promotional vehicles, kindly supplied by one of our main sponsors, Chrome Motors of Beech Lane, Macclesfield, at the events and take the opportunity to have a chat with the people you may only have listened to on the radio.
