Tytherington School turns 50
TYTHERINGTON School is celebrating its half century anniversary this month.
A summer fair will be held at the school to celebrate, featuring quirky delights including a 60s tent, rodeo sheep, welly throwing and a human fruit machine.
There will be burgers, hotdogs, ice cream and cakes too to boost your energy for a penalty shootout with Macclesfield Town FC’s Roary the Lion.
The event takes place on June 27, from 11am to 4pm and is free.
Headteacher Steve Jowett said: “The summer fair is part of our 50th year celebrations and looks set to be a great day out for all the family.
“It is especially pleasing as it sees the Friends of Tytherington parents’ group working alongside our students to provide a range of activities, stalls and refreshments.
“It would be fantastic to see a big crowd here supporting the event, so if you fancy an ice cream or maybe getting thrown off a mechanical sheep this day is one not to miss.”
