Sue’s German treble
SUE Collier, a local community phlebotomist and table tennis player, has just won triple gold in a German International Table Tennis tournament held in Trier taking the over 40s women’s doubles, the mixed doubles and the 0ver 40’s singles titles. In three weeks she will be participating in the Europeans in Tampere, Finland.
After representing England at every level – cadet, junior, senior and veteran categories – she now has to self fund all her training, travel, accommodation and entry fees. Last year she won a world bronze medal in Auckland, New Zealand.
Fortunately, a local business has enabled her to fund her trip to the Europeans this year but upon her return she has numerous master tournaments nationally and is representing England in the six nations event in the Isle of Man in September.
Coming up are the World Championships in Alicante 2016, the Europeans in Sweden in 2017 and the World Championships in Las Vegas in 2018, so any offers of financial assistance would be gratefully appreciated for her to plan for these events. She can be contacted on her mobile 07791 872324 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
