PREST­BURY CC were edged out by Over Peover on Thurs­day.

Bat­ting first and with the early loss of Tom Lives­ley and Ben Mil­ner, Prest­bury nev­er­the­less tried to take the at­tack to the op­po­si­tion with 59, runs sup­ported by Rom­mel Gon­dall with 28.

How­ever, tight bowl­ing re­stricted prest­bury to 127-5 off 20 overs.

Peover went about their chal­lenges with gusto with M Nightin­gale (53) and T Stubbs (46) see­ing them home in the 17th over.

At the week­end they trav­elled to Dis­ley. Prest­bury won the toss and opted to bat.

Rom­mel Gon­dall con­tin­ued his good form with 39 while Si­mon Ed­munds hit 41. Sup­ported by Dom Asquith (29), Prest­bury put up a good to­tal of 161-9 to de­fend,.

Matty Gray, with four wick­ets, showed there is still petrol in the tank!

It meant Dis­ley man­aged to get over the line in the 43rd over with nine balls left, a su­perb un­beaten 101 by A Clarke se­cur­ing the win. Prest­bury earned 11 points from the loss for their ef­forts.
