MANCHESTER United legend Gordon Hill will be offering a free football camp to youngsters in Macclesfield next month.

The opportunity will be open to 20 players aged 10 to 13 years of age, and will take place at Mottram Hall from July 13 to July 17.

Hill is temporarily back in the area after finding success running a soccer academy in America, and he was keen to give an opportunity to the children of Macclesfield.

“I want to give something back to the game of football and to the youngsters,” he said.

“I will be working with Mottram Hall to give local players a chance to show their talent and I will be coaching them all week.

“I used to hold my football schools in Macclesfield for many years and have seen a lot of young players come through, and with me bringing young players from the US to play and train, I thought it would be great to mix them and let them see both cultures.”
