Health group cel­e­brates back-to-back ac­co­lades

A HOS­PI­TAL is cel­e­brat­ing af­ter its healthcare group won a pres­ti­gious award for the sec­ond year in a row.

Spire Healthcare Group, which owns the pri­vate Spire Re­gency Hos­pi­tal in Mac­cles­field, was named Hos­pi­tal Group of the Year at the 2015 HealthIn­vestor Awards in Lon­don’s Grosvenor House Ho­tel.

The awards, which are run by in­dus­try pub­li­ca­tion HealthIn­vestor, were pre­sented by jour­nal­ist and broad­caster Jeremy Vine.

They were judged by a panel of over 20 se­nior in­dus­try fig­ures.

Rob Roger, chief ex­ec­u­tive of Spire Healthcare Group said: “2014 was a trans­for­ma­tional year for Spire Healthcare and a land­mark in the com­pany’s history.

“It saw Spire de­liver a strong year in both trad­ing and de­vel­op­ment, whilst pro­gress­ing its mis­sion to bring to­gether the best peo­ple, ded­i­cated to de­vel­op­ing ex­cel­lent clin­i­cal en­vi­ron­ments and de­liv­er­ing the high­est qual­ity pa­tient care.

“I am very proud to be lead­ing the peo­ple who make Spire so suc­cess­ful”.

Spire Re­gency Hos­pi­tal, on West Street, Mac­cles­field, opened in 1991, and is one of 39 hos­pi­tals across the coun­try owned by the group.
