Health group celebrates back-to-back accolades
A HOSPITAL is celebrating after its healthcare group won a prestigious award for the second year in a row.
Spire Healthcare Group, which owns the private Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield, was named Hospital Group of the Year at the 2015 HealthInvestor Awards in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The awards, which are run by industry publication HealthInvestor, were presented by journalist and broadcaster Jeremy Vine.
They were judged by a panel of over 20 senior industry figures.
Rob Roger, chief executive of Spire Healthcare Group said: “2014 was a transformational year for Spire Healthcare and a landmark in the company’s history.
“It saw Spire deliver a strong year in both trading and development, whilst progressing its mission to bring together the best people, dedicated to developing excellent clinical environments and delivering the highest quality patient care.
“I am very proud to be leading the people who make Spire so successful”.
Spire Regency Hospital, on West Street, Macclesfield, opened in 1991, and is one of 39 hospitals across the country owned by the group.
