Macclesfield Express - - MACCLESFIELD PEOPLE -

A BUSINESS networking group is celebrating after reporting record levels of business referrals.

The BNI Silk group, which meets every Thursday morning at The Tytherington Club, has passed £88,000 in business referrals between group members since January this year and says this is evidence of ‘the enterprising nature of local Small Medium Enterprises and an improving economic picture’.

At each meeting members and visitors share information about their own businesses and talk about new business opportunities they are looking to develop.

Organisers held a visitors’ day last week at the club.

Speaking about the day, Andy Beaden, director of the Silk Group, said: “BNI has transformed my business. We all work really hard to share contacts and help each other grow our businesses.

“The purpose of the session was to show people how it works and what goes on at our meetings.

“We are particularly looking for decorators, plumbers, graphic designers and web designers to join but everyone is welcome, as long as your profession or trade is not already represented in the group.

“I would urge business owners looking to expand to pop along to one of our sessions.”
