Showtime is great fun for youngsters
CHILDREN from a youth group hosted a festival of events for the community.
More than 320 people attended the week of events, held at various venues on the Moss Estate by the young people from the Cre8 youth group.
It was a chance for them to show the community some of the activities they take part in and give some performances.
Rob Wardle, from Cre8, said: “There was a huge amount of fun, with young people helping to organise and run the events.
“The events were held over a week, with local young people and young adults at the centre of the celebrations.
“Guests were entertained with original musical performances, storytelling, lunches, dancing, a barbecue and auction and tours of community facilities.
“Cre8 is a community charity providing learning, work and fun activities for young people and their families from the Moss.
“We run two businesses which employ young peo- ple as workers.”
Cre8 has also hosted a Making Charities Work day for similar organisations to explore the idea of business start-ups to earn money for funding charitable activities.
