WHAT you have been saying on our Facebook page: ●● Former mayor Lloyd Roberts hit out at the state of Macclesfield Cemetery Gemma Fitzgerald: No dogs should be allowed in either.
Every time we go there are dogs roaming off leads, so therefore their business doesn’t get cleaned up. It’s disgusting. Denise Coppack: The park needs sorting out, litter everywhere, broken glass all over the bike track and people that are openly using drugs needs sorting out too. Rachel Tyler: We’ve been up there a couple of times to sort out my grandparents’ graves. They don’t seem to cut in-between graves or sometimes round them properly. The grass is just left long, it looks awful. Matt Vare: Get it cleaned up and get cctv everywhere. Spend our money on something that’s beneficial. ●● Young people from Cre8 youth group host a festival of events on The Moss Helen Beech: Fabulous work being done at Cre8.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concert, lunch on Friday and the celebration and auction on Friday night to finish was very entertaining thank you.
Keep up the great work. ●● Tributes paid to drummer and scrap dealer Geoff Ward, 84, who lost his battle with cancer Christine Mcgovern: Brilliant scrap merchant. R.I.P. remembered fondly. Doug Saunders: This guy kept me on the road all through the 80s. RIP Geoff. Lou Cooper: Great character, used to live opposite me, best neighbour to have. Sad news. Malcolm Dillnutt: Many many bits for numerous old bangers purchased from him over the years. Ian Bentley: Thoughts with his family. Lost count of the number of cars I’ve had that needed parts from the scrap yard.
