●● LABOUR coun­cil­lors for the Mac­cles­field West and Ivy ward have launched a monthly surgery for res­i­dents.

Nick Man­nion and Alift Hare­wood, who rep­re­sent the area on Cheshire East Coun­cil, plan to hold meet­ings at the Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre on Gilchrist Av­enue, on the sec­ond Satur­day of ev­ery month.

They will be avail­able to dis­cuss any query, com­plaint or con­cern about Cheshire East coun­cil ser­vices from 10am to 12.30pm. ●● THE latest films play­ing at Cinemac, based at the Her­itage Cen­tre on Roe Street, will be Minions and Ter­mi­na­tor: Genisys.

Coun Durham, and her con­sort Richard Durham will lead a pro­ces­sion from the Town Hall ar­riv­ing at St Michael’s for the 11am ser­vice.

There will be live mu­sic from The Sis­ters at The Swan with Two Necks on Ch­ester­gate this Satur­day.

The gig starts at 9pm. ●● MAC­CLES­FIELD Com­mu­nity ArtSpace are hold­ing a sewing bee and fash­ion show this Satur­day.

The event at Heapy Street from 10am to 4.30pm will also in­clude dress­mak­ing em­broi­dery, toy mak­ing and but­ton ac­tiv­i­ties, fol­lowed by a fash­ion show,
