Bosley’s boost for charities
BOSLEY Tug of War Club will be hosting their annual charity tug of war competition in aid of the East Cheshire Hospice on Sunday 12th July.
The event will be taking place at Glebe Farm, Peel Lane, Astbury near Congleton from 11am and everyone is encouraged to go along and offer support. The event will include a six-a-side tug of war competition for local clubs, businesses, pub teams and groups of friends.
A club spokesman said: “We are really looking forward to the event this year – we are hoping people can get a few friends or work colleagues together, come along, have fun and help raise some money for a great local cause.
“The entry fee is just £10 per team of six, so it is a good and affordable way of supporting a worthy local charity. We hope lots of supporters will come along and enjoy the day as well.”
There will be a separately organised eight-a-side competition for Tug of War Association teams, who will be competing in various weight categories for mens, ladies and youth teams.
Glebe Farm has a farm shop, tea rooms, ice cream parlour, tractor rides, petting farm/feed the animals, craft shops, and a children’s play area, so it will make for a good afternoon out for all of the family.
