VILLAGE FETE

THE village of Siddington will boast its own Royal Family when Redesmere Fete gets under way on Saturday, July 25.

Olivia Wain, 11, will be crowned Water Lily Queen in a ceremony on the shore of Redesmere Lake by the King of Redesmere, her nine-year-old brother Callum, before all the fun of the fete begins.

The fete, which includes a barbecue and stalls for the whole family, will include entertainment from the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band, entertainer Jack Green, an Irish dancing group, a cheerleading team and the AstraZeneca archery team.

The fun begins at 1.30pm, with the crowning taking place at 1.45pm.

Siddington Village Hall is on the A34 south of Monks Heath, towards Congleton.
