Cam­pey leads the field home at Mottram

MEDAL ac­tion at Mottram saw Paul Cam­pey lead in with 68 from Si­mon Lown­des 69 and Stock Mirza and Jon Hodg­son, both 71.

A sin­gles Sta­ble­ford at Shrigley Hall has Sreve Wells in charge with 41 points from Peter Will 39 and Rod­er­ick Scott 37.

A Wed­nes­day Sta­ble­ford at Styal was won by Gavin Jamieson with 38 points, one more than Joseph Wee and Has­san Ja­fari.

Styal se­niors were also in medal mode with Kevin Boc­quet rac­ing home with 42 points from Harry Wilks 40 and Alan Burns, Terry Hooper and Colin Fel­lowes all with 39.

The Sta­ble­ford ac­tion con­tin­ued for Styal ladies with Jeny Mer­ren show­ing her class with 38 points to fin­ish ahead of Gayle Black­burn 38 and Caro­line Ge­orge 35.

Mac­cles­field ladies played an EWGA medal which was also their MDLGA Bunty Booth qual­i­fier and rep­re­sent­ing the club next year will be Aly­cia Sut­ton who romped to vic­tory with a stun­ning 65 from Sue Law­ton 72 and Judy Mut­ter 73.

In an over 70s com­pe­ti­tion over 11 holes Myra Clark won af­ter a cpo on 18 points with Pat Bur­rows.

The Kor­dian Or­der of Merit latest po­si­tions for Macc ladies sees Judy Mut­ter set­ting the pace with 95 points from Jill Higgins 93 and Myra Clark 84.

There were mixed re­sults for Macc ladies in the East Cheshire League with the B team los­ing 5-2 at Sandi­way but the Plate team tri­umphed by the same mar­gin host­ing Hey­rose.

The Cen­te­nary Tro­phy at Alder­ley Edge was won by Julie Rick­etts with 39 points two more than D Lee and Tommy Law­ton.

Medal ac­tion for Davenport’s men had Jon Camm as the main man with his 67 see­ing him home from Peter Bur­rows 68 and Mal­colm Sand­ford and An­thony Dyke both 69.

Davenport ladies played over two rounds for the Lady Cap­tain’s Prize and in round one the early pace was set by Jane Houlker with 68 from Bar­bara Oliver 72.

In round two Lynda Jones was first past the post with 69, one less than Pauline Weller­man.

But it was close in the fin­ish with Bar­bara Oliver win­ning a cpo on 144 from Jane Houlkner with Pauline Hall next in on 147.

Prest­bury’s men played round one of the Founders Tro­phy and in a tight fin­ish Mar­cus Bar­row won a cpo on 68 from Stewart Davies with Alan Far­rer and John Og­den hot on their heels with 69.

A Sin­gles Grannies Sta­ble­ford for Prest­bury ladies had Cheshire se­nior star Gill Mel­lor well clear in di­vi­sion one with 35 points from Linda Buck­ley 33.

Bar­bara New­port topped di­vi­sion two with 37 points from Penny Smith and Maura De­lany, both 35 and in the sub­sidiary nine-hole Sta­ble­ford Anne Parker was top of the shop with 12 points.
