PRESTBURY Day Nursery spread good cheer with an open day to celebrate its 26th birthday.

Visitors enjoyed a day of family fun with outdoor games, creative workshops using a wide range of resources for the children to explore different areas of learning and a party theme complete with a cake competition.

Cheerleaders from the King’s School performed to a delighted audience thanks to coach Rachel Burrows, also a parent at the nursery, who volunteered to organise the activity especially for the day.

Debra O’Hora, nursery manager, said: “Myself and Jenny, my assistant manager, were very happy with the turnout of new and existing parents.

“The nursery has a fantastic relationship with all of our children’s mothers and fathers.

“We were wowed by the cheerleaders. The parents and children were taken back by the girls’ performance too.

“As a management team we would like to thank the parents, visitors and cheerleaders for supporting the nursery and the practitioners here for their dedication, consistent hard work and fantastic activity ideas to stimulate the children’s learning and development.”
