Wish come true at princess fair

Macclesfield Express - - MOTORING -

LITTLE pirates and princesses enjoyed a fairytale summer fair which raised a record-breaking amount for school funds.

The PTA at St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School in Bollington are celebrating raising £1,800 at their summer fair – the most ever raised at the event.

The fair had a pirates and princesses theme and saw the children dressing up as their favourite characters to join in the fun.

There were prizes for the children in the fancy dress competition in a variety of categories.

They also met Elsa from the film Frozen, which was an exciting highlight for many of the children.

Activities included a bouncy castle assault course, tombola, raffle and auction, fun children’s games, face painting, tattoos, a barbecue and ice cream.

There was also live music, street dancing and Irish dancing displays.

Entrance was free but donations were taken to go towards the impressive total raised.

Anita Armitt, from the PTA, said: “The PTA at St Gregory’s would like to say a huge thank you to everybody who attended our fabulous summer fair.

“It was a great success and we raised our biggest amount ever, an astounding record breaking £1,800.

“An enormous thanks to our hard-working stall holders and very kind donations from local businesses who supported us.”
