●● BOLLINGTON Beer Festival is taking place for the fourth time this weekend and will raise money for community projects.
Ale fans will enjoy more than 40 beers and ciders at the sold-out event taking place on Saturday and Sunday at Bollington Arts Centre.
A proportion of the surplus from the festival will be set aside for small grants for community projects. These could be programmes such as refurbishments, new equipment or support for a service to the community, to help improve the lives of the people of Bollington.
Grants will be paid by cheque by December 2015 at the latest.

The 10k race will take place from Bollington Health and Leisure, the centre set up after fundraising by the community.
It is run as a charity for the benefit of the people of Bollington. The centre provides a gym for over 1,000 members, exercise and leisure facilities for hundreds more and swimming classes to thousands of children every week.
The money raised at the run will go towards improvements at the centre, on Heath Road.
The changing rooms need renovation and the organisation would like to provide disabled changing facilities too.
The pool roof needs re-covering and there are many other smaller repairs and improvements that are desperately needed. The run is on Sunday, August 30.
