LAST week I listed some ludicrously expensive wines available at Rosso the Italian restaurant on King Street in Manchester City Centre.
Pleasingly, this week I can report that, just a few doors down there are some fine wines available at ludricously inexpensive prices.
The wines are both made by producers Mount Pleasant from the Semillon grape in Australia, namely the Hunter Valley.
Hunter Valley Semillon is one of the world’s greatest and most distinctive wines.
It’s an unlikely place for wine-growing with a climate that is not far off sub-tropical.
