Man with indecent images avoids jail
A MAN has walked free from court after he was found with more than 8,000 indecent images of children.
Adam Hugh Clarke, 50, of Lowes Lane, Gawsworth, admitted eight charges including one of possession of indecent photographs of children, three charges of making indecent photographs of children, and one of taking indecent photographs of children.
He also pleaded guilty to one charge of possession of a prohibited image of a child, one charge of possession of four extreme images involving animal pornography.
The final charge Clarke admitted was filming someone having sex without their consent.
The offences took place between 2008 and 2015.
Clarke was found in possession of 8,444 indecent photographs of children. Of these 623 images were category A, the most extreme, 867 images were category B, which cover nonpenetrative sexual activity, and 6,954 of the images were category C covering other indecent images.
At Chester Crown Court Clarke was sentenced to 18 months in jail suspended for two years. He must also sign onto the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
