Jobs un­cer­tainty as fac­tory shuts its doors

AROUND 20 jobs have been put at risk af­ter a glass and door fac­tory went into re­ceiver­ship.

East Cheshire Glass, based at By­ron Mill on Lon­don Road, Mac­cles­field, was shut on Fri­day, July 31.

UHY Hacker Young, an ac­coun­tancy firm based in Manch­ester, has been ap­pointed as re­ceivers of the com­pany.

The Ex­press was un­able to con­tact the di­rec­tors of East Cheshire Glass.

The com­pany was founded in 1985 by Steven Platt and Keith Maxwell.
