Yogis raise £100s for hospice
A COUPLE of yogis raised money for a hospice by hosting an event.
Sarah and David Booth held an event at their Variety Fitness studio in Macclesfield to introduce people to yoga to coincide with International Yoga Day. They held classes with different styles of yoga and asked for donations to East Cheshire Hospice.
They raised £120 which they have now handed to the charity.
David said: “We wanted to show the people of Macclesfield that Yoga can be for everyone. For those undergoing any form of treatment it’s an especially useful way of clearing the mind and promoting recovery. The hospice is a charity close to a lot of people in Macclesfield and has helped friends of ours so we were thrilled to raise money for them.”
Camilla Crockett, corporate fundraiser at the hospice, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Variety Fitness and its clients for their support. The support we receive from our local community is vital to ensure we can continue providing our specialist care services to those most in-need in our community, and we were delighted to be involved with Variety Fitness’s International Yoga Day.”
