Macclesfield Express - - BOSLEY TRAGEDY -

AN amateur photographer is trying to trace the identity of two men who he captured at random in the Seventies.

Steven Williamson took the snaps in Macclesfield up to 45 years ago.

The two middle-aged men appear to stood outside a bike shop. He found them recently while looking through his collection. Steven, from Timperley, said: “I used to have a camera with me all the time and would take pictures of anything I saw, people, objects, scenery. I was really inspired by the photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson who was famous for his candid black and white pictures.”

Steven doesn’t know where the photo was taken or what year.

He added: “It’s a long time ago. I don’t even remember what I was doing in Macclesfield that day, although I was probably working.

“I suppose those two gents would have caught my eye for some reason.

“They might not still be with us judging by their ages, and the time I took them. But I suppose it might be nice for their relatives to see them again.”
