Food shop hopes to help town’s organic growth

Macclesfield Express - - BOSLEY TRAGEDY -

A COUPLE welcomed MP David Rutley to visit their health food shop.

Stephen and Elizabeth Hirst have opened Naturally Different on Market Place in Macclesfield, selling natural, organic and fair trade food and household items.

They hope they are part of a revival of independent businesses in the town centre.

They welcomed MP David Rutley to their shop and told him more about their business, which aims to help people who have a particular interest in what is in their food and where it comes from.

This includes considering allergies, general fitness, dietary specifications and supporting the community.

Mr Rutley learned more about the plans for the future and was pleased to see locally produced items on display.

He said: “It was a pleasure to welcome a new independent business which will help to make Macclesfield more interesting and unique destination.

“I understand customers have been impressed by the range, quality and price of the goods and I wish Stephen and Elizabeth every success with this venture.

“This is further proof the town centre is moving forward positively.”
