●● PRESTBURY Parish Council is to hold its next meeting on Wednesday, 5 August.
The Planning Sub-committee meeting will be held at 9.30am in the Council Chamber, above the library and Royal Bank of Scotland building.

Paul Leff will be providing a soft backdrop to the New Road venue on August 6, with Charlotte Day taking the role on August 13.
Both start singing at 8pm as part of Bacchus’ ongoing music evenings. ●● A PLANNING application has been lodged to turn an unused unit at the Co-operative store on New Road into a physiotherapists.
The plan has been lodged with Cheshire East Council by Macclesfield based John Griffiths Physiotherapists.
The centre would employ two full time and six part time employees and be open from 7am to 8.30pm.
Residents have until August 26 to submit comments, with a decision expected to be made on September 18. ●● PRESTBURY golf club is set to host the Prestbury Open.
The event, to run on Friday 5 August, is open to all male golfers who are members of recognised golf clubs with a handicap of no more than five.
The Open is a 36-hole competition.
There is an entrance fee of £35, which includes a sandwich and soup lunch.
