PREST­BURY’S Cheshire Cricket League match against Heaton Mersey was re­duced overs due to rain.

Prest­bury won the toss and had 31 overs but lost Rami Iyer for 18 – which in­cluded two sixes.

He was soon fol­lowed by Myles Ma­son for eight, Tom Lives­ley fell for 11, and – af­ter a good start – Tim Saxon was caught for 16.

The wick­ets fell steadily with Si­mon Ed­munds go­ing for 12, Mafaz out for 16, and Hi­bel for a duck.

Ju­lian McGovern did work hard for 21 but was caught go­ing for a big shot.

Prest­bury fin­ished on 118-9.

Heaton Mersey only had 20 overs to reach the tar­get, but they suf­fered the loss of three quick wick­ets.

How­ever, Gandy’s 44 not out and Ma­liki’s 22 not out saw them over the line with one over to spare.
